Important Update: Changes to Our Asbestos Testing Services & Pricing

Black Country Asbestos and Demolition pride ourselves on providing an honest, reliable, and expert service. To ensure we can continue to maintain the high standards our clients expect, we are implementing some necessary changes to our pricing structure and the types of projects we take on, effective immediately.

1. Updated Pricing Structure

Due to significant cost increases throughout our supply chain, we have adjusted our rates to reflect the current market. These changes allow us to continue using the best equipment and disposal methods available.

  • Standard Testing Service: Now £180 (inc. VAT).

  • Additional Samples: Now £48 (inc. VAT).

2. Changes to Pre-Purchase Surveys & Testing

We have made the difficult decision to no longer provide testing or surveying services for property sales or purchases.

This decision stems from a recurring issue where a small minority of prospective buyers have misused our professional reports solely as a leverage tool to negotiate lower property values. This practice not only places a strain on our resources but, more importantly, it is not covered by our Professional Indemnity insurance.

We didn't want to take this step, but to protect our business and our time, we have been left with no choice.

3. How This Affects You

We are still fully committed to helping property owners. Here is how our new policy works regarding estimates:

  • If you have already purchased the property: We will continue to provide you with a full written estimate free of charge.

  • If you are a prospective purchaser: We reserve the right to charge for the quotation in advance.

The Good News: If you choose to instruct BCA Contracts Ltd to carry out the works, the full amount of that quotation fee will be credited back to your account upon completion.
